Broadcasting is one of the features in Growtopia, which can be used to spread messages to multiple players at once. Using the /radio command hides broadcasts from all players.

Types

Broadcast

A broadcast is done by doing /broadcast <message> or /bc "<message>" works for longer messages. This will send the message to 1000 random people for 6000 gems for Super Supporters (9000 gems for Supporters, and 12000 gems for normal players).

Super Broadcast

A super broadcast is done by doing /sb <message>, at a cost of 20 gems per player for Super Supporters (30 gems for Supporters, and 40 gems for normal players). This will send the broadcast to every online player. When a Super Broadcast is broadcasted, it makes a short beep sound.

A super broadcast can also be done through a Megaphone, a Locke's Megaphone (which are no longer obtainable), or with a Party Screamer (this version has pre-written text which cannot be changed).

Custom Broadcast

A custom broadcast is done by typing /cb <number of players> <message>, at a cost of 20 gems per player for Super Supporters (30 gems for Supporters, and 40 gems for normal players). The minimum amount of people that can be custom broadcasted to is 1001.

Super Duper Broadcast

This form of Broadcasting has been disabled since P.A.W 2014 due to server issues and/or for being annoying. Super Duper Broadcast was done by typing /sdb, for the price of 50 Growtokens. The broadcast appeared in the middle of each player's screen in a special notification box. Developers can still use the Super Duper Broadcast command, however pressing "GO!" after entering the message will not do anything.

If a normal player tries to write the /sdb command, they get the following message as a result: "Oops: The super duper broadcast has been disabled for now, either because it was causing lag or just too dang annoying. Try again later."

Friendcast

A friendcast is done by typing /fc <Message>, and doesn't cost any gems. This will send a message to all of the player's friends who are currently online.

Guildcast

A guildcast is done by typing /gc <Message>, and doesn't cost any gems. If a player is in a guild, this will send a message to other guild members that have their "Show Guild Member Notifications" enabled. A player without a guild will not be able to use this command.
