d seed with a Door seed. It was originally released as a "Perma-item" but a server update removed that. Now they can be destroyed without dropping a plaque unlike earlier. They do not drop seeds. Although rollback seeds were available for a short period of time in the store bought seed packs until it was patched. Now these seeds are very uncommon.
*A Rollback occurred on the 23rd of Febuary, 2013.
This meant that Seth and Hamumu had to restore the game 24 hours back in time. (Twice actually!) Everyone's save progress was lost (from the 24 hour time period).
The second rollback occurred only a few hours after the first, and sent us back to the same place we were rolled back to the first time.

For this error, players were rewarded with "Apology Weekend" to make up for their loss of time, which allowed players to splice the rollback plaque, gave players x3 the gem drops from broken blocks, plus every in-app purchase you were awarded 25% extra gems.
Function
This event lasted about 36 hours before ending, along with the disappearance of the rollback plaque.
When placed, Rollback Plaque serves a fully aesthetic purpose.

The entire debacle happened because of a glitch in a server update which caused store items with a rarity of 999 to recycle at a higher rate than purchase price.
Trivia
People caught onto the glitch and used it to their advantage to clone huge amounts of gems and buy unlimited world locks.
*Rollback Plaques were originally released as "perma-items," which meant it returned directly to the player's inventory when broken. After the item became unsplicable, it was changed to never drop anything when broken.
This would have ruined the economy greatly.
*When the Rollback Plaque was released, the item's seed was available as a random item from the Small Seed Pack. This was an oversight which was patched shortly after it was discovered, but any seeds which were given out were not removed, making the Rollback Plaque Seed a highly valued collectable.
Luckily the problem was fixed and had an outcome that is best to secure the future of growtopia.
*When asked by a forum user regarding whether a version of the Rollback Plaque with a happy face would be added, ex-developer Hamumu answered that "This is a somber occasion. We will smile another day." The recipe of the Rollback Plaque was replaced by the Happy Joy Plaque Happy Joy Plaque directly after the Rollback Plaque was discontinued.
Store bought items no longer display a rarity.

The rollback plaque recipe Cave Background seed + Door seed can now be used to splice a Happy Joy plaque instead. (Pretty much the same shape as the Rollback Plaque, only green, and depicts a happy face instead.

 • When the Rollback Plaque was released, the item's seed was available as a random item from the Small Seed Pack. We will smile another day."[2] The recipe of the Rollback Plaque was replaced by the Happy Joy Plaque directly after the Rollback Plaque was discontinued.
