When equipped, the Tarantula Legs grants the Speedy & Wall Climb: Tarantula! mod, which allows the player to move faster on land and cling onto Climbing Walls by pressing the jump button.

The item also allows the player to cling onto Climbing Walls by holding their jump. Other items which serve the same purpose include:
