Growtopia Store
Purchase the Auction Block for 8,000 in the Growtopia Store.
"Put your items up for auction with this Auction Block. Set the starting price and the duration for the auction. When the auction ends, whatever the final bid is will be the sale price so choose your starting price carefully. While an auction is running you will not be able to edit the world. This block is a one time use, upon a successful sale the block will become unusable."
Every purchase will give 1 item.

The Auction Block is an unsplicable and untradable foreground block which was added as part of the Auction Block update on September 10, 2025.

Function

Starting an Auction

When placed by the world owner, the block allows them to select an item to auction, set its starting price (in World Locks), and choose a duration of 1 hour, 3 hours, or 12 hours.

Only tradeable items can be placed in an auction, starting prices must be whole numbers, and players are only limited to one Auction Block per world but can host several auctions simultaneously in different worlds.

Once everything is ready, the Start Auction button will activate. After clicking it, a confirmation window will pop up to review the player's selected item, auction duration, and starting price.

While an auction is active, players cannot modify or use items in the world.

Bidding

Through the UI on the left side of the screen, players can deposit or withdraw World Locks to and from their World Lock Bank, browse active auctions, sort according to time or price, search for specific items, as well as view their own bids.

Other players can join the auction by wrenching the Auction Block or tapping on the Auction icon on the left side of their screen. Bidders may raise the current price by 1, 10, or 100 World Locks.

When the player place a bid, the corresponding World Locks in their World Lock Bank will be blocked until the auction ends. File:Bidding 1.png

Ending an Auction

If the auction has less than one minute remaining and a player places a bid, the timer will reset to one minute.

Once the auction ends, the winning bidder will receive the item in their Mailbox, while the world owner will receive the winnings in theirs.

Players who lost the auction will have their World Locks returned to their World Lock Bank. Afterward, if at least one player bid on the auction, the Auction Block will turn into an Auction Block - Sold Out, which can no longer be used. File:Win 1.png
