Toxic waste is the sludge that is left behind after breaking a toxic barrel, or from the toxic waste special event.
Each piece of slime takes two punch to disintegrate, if you walk on the sludge, it reacts the same way as a cactus, causing damage and the appearance of yellow stars. This item is public, like [[Garbage]] and anyone can break the sludge, it doesn't contend to the laws of locks. The sludge never drops an item or seed.

Special Event
Found in the Chemical Spill special event.
A Toxic Waste is placed randomly on multiple tiles.

The Toxic Waste is an unsplicable public solid pain foreground block which was added as part of the Growtech Pharma update on May 16, 2013.

Function

Being a type of pain block, a Toxic Waste knocks the player back and stings the player until the player stops all motion. A player will die after making contact with a pain block five times in quick succession (recovering from damage takes roughly 5 seconds). The Fireproof mod will not allow the player to take more hits, unlike with lava pain blocks.

When locking a Toxic Waste or any other public block with a Builder's Lock and setting it to only allow building, any other player will be limited from breaking the block.

Trivia

  • Several Toxic Waste are spawned randomly after breaking a Toxic Waste Barrel.
  • On August 20, 2015, developer @Seth accidentally handed out the Toxic Waste itself to the public during the seventh day of the Player Appreciation Week (Super Mod Dance Party), resulting in it becoming an acquirable rare item.
  • Being unmovable, Toxic Wastes are unable to be picked up using a Flashback Flan.
