When first introduced during [[Valentine's Week/2016|Valentine's Week 2016]], up to four Golden Booty Chests could spawn in a world if it contained a high combined rarity of blocks in the world. This was done to combat players placing [[Rock]]s in a world to obtain [[Heartstone]]s.
In Valentine's Week 2016, up to 4 Golden Booty Chest will spawn in worlds with a huge number of rarities combined from each items placed in the worlds. As of Valentine's Week 2017, the chests no longer spawn in worlds. Instead, they are obtained in the Share the Love [[Special Events|Special Event]] over the course of Valentine's Week. The Event adds 1 Golden Booty Chest in the inventory of everyone in the world, regardless of backpack spaces.


However, due to continued complaint, during [[Valentine's Week/2017|Valentine's Week 2017]], these chests would no longer spawn in worlds and could only be obtained from the Share the Love [[Special Events|Special Event]] over the course of Valentine's Week where one Golden Booty Chest would be automatically rewarded to everyone in the world.


During [[Valentine's Week/2018|Valentine's Week 2018]], this changed again and players could only obtain the Golden Booty Chest from the [[Valentine's Card]]s [[Special Events|special event]].
During [[Valentine's Week/2019|Valentine's Week 2019]], the [[Valentine's Goodies]] was replaced with five Golden Booty Chests due to players selectively filling their inventories with junk items to obtain the rarer items.

Golden Booty Chest is an unsplicable non-solid foreground block which was added on Valentine's Week 2016.

Obtaining

When first introduced during Valentine's Week 2016, up to four Golden Booty Chests could spawn in a world if it contained a high combined rarity of blocks in the world. This was done to combat players placing Rocks in a world to obtain Heartstones.

However, due to continued complaint, during Valentine's Week 2017, these chests would no longer spawn in worlds and could only be obtained from the Share the Love Special Event over the course of Valentine's Week where one Golden Booty Chest would be automatically rewarded to everyone in the world.

During Valentine's Week 2018, this changed again and players could only obtain the Golden Booty Chest from the Valentine's Cards special event.

During Valentine's Week 2019, the Valentine's Goodies was replaced with five Golden Booty Chests due to players selectively filling their inventories with junk items to obtain the rarer items.
