When equipped, the Exquisite Scanner grants the Startopia skills: Exquisite Scanner mod, which allows the player to reduce skill fails during a Star voyage.

Exquisite Potion	Chef Role level 7 required: 1 can be dropped from combining: • File:Exquisite Anomalizers.gif Any Exquisite Anomalizer (x1) • Toffee Block (x3) • Sea Sponge (x10) in any Chemical Combiner.
Anomalizing Pristine Scanner	10 can be dropped from combining: • Exquisite Scanner (×1) • Golden Block (×10) • Steel Block (×5) in any Chemical Combiner.

Trivia

There are four different types of scanners which are Exquisite Scanner, Anomalizing Reliable Scanner, Anomalizing Pristine Scanner and the Anomalizing Elegant Scanner.
It was used to earn points during the Super Startopians Grow Event. However, it was changed in Series 2 when it can no longer be used during a Grow Event.
