Winning doesn't actually give you any sort of a prize; it just provides satisfaction of knowing that at least you won at something in life. When you win in the slot machine, millions of coins jump out (similar to the [[ATM Machine]] when you hit the purple gem jackpot), which you can't pick up because it's rather a 'pretend win'. Moreover, you can't lose gems by merely losing in slots.
