Tapjoy

Tapjoy is a platform that uses ads to generate virtual rewards for users, such as gems in Growtopia. Tapjoy can be found in game in the "Earn Free Gems" tab in the shop, next to the Buy Gems tab, which is only visible for mobile users.

Conditions and Mechanism

Tapjoy offerwall is only available to players aged 13 and above. Tapjoy Offerwall will not appear in the Growtopia Store for younger accounts.

To get rewards from Tapjoy, players need to complete several tasks that have been assigned. Tasks, rewards and time vary. The rewards will be given to players when they successfully complete the tasks on tine. After completing a task within the required time, players must log in to game to receive the Gems specified by the offer.

Rewards

• Players can earn Gems for free by completing Tapjoy offers, different applications provide different amounts of Gems depending on the task.
• During special events, Tapjoy rewards may be boosted up to 2x or 5× the normal amount.
• Players can also obtain the Supporter or Super Supporter for free by earning Gems through Tapjoy offers.

• Some players say Tapjoy is messing up Growtopia’s economy by giving out way too many Gems.
• The ability to earn millions of Gems through ads and offers has sparked debate over inflation, item pricing and the value of in-game purchases.
• Tapjoy rewards were generally smaller and less frequent nowadays, making high-Gem earnings even more rarely.
