Broadcast

Broadcasting is one of the tools in Growtopia. It is used to communicate with wider audience of growtopia using global messages. Broadcasts have a 1 minute cool-down time period between each one. /Radio hides all players' broadcasts.

Requirements for Broadcasts

ALL Broadcasts

• Requires level 20+ or supporter rank.

Broadcast

• 300 Gems

Super Broadcast

• Costs 1 gem per 1.6667 people (depends on the amount of players online).

Custom Broadcast

• Costs 1 gem per 1.6667 people (Minimum: 1001, so 600 gems)

Type of Broadcasts

Broadcast

A broadcast is done by doing /broadcast <message> or /bc "<message>" works for longer messages. This will send your message to 1000 random people for 300 gems. This means you are paying 1 gem per 3.3334 people.

Super Broadcast

A super broadcast is done by doing /sb <message>, at a cost of 1 gem per 1.6667 people. This will send the broadcast to every online player.

Custom Broadcast

This is done by typing /cb <number of players> <message>, at a cost of 1 gem per 1.6667 people. The mininum amount of people you could custom broadcast to is 1001.

Super Duper Broadcast

Super Duper Broadcasts are done by typing /sdb , for the price of 50 Growtokens. This was disabled after P.A.W 2014 due to server issues and being annoying.

Friendcast

Friendcast are done by typing /fc <Message> , for free , this will send broadcast to all friend that owned by people who broadcasting

What not to broadcast

As stated in the rules, you aren't allowed to broadcast about drop games, trust tests, casinos, and other betting games. Doing so will get you punished.

Other things you shouldn't broadcast are:

• Lying about mods being in your world when they're not will get you punished.

• Faking official Growtopia system messages will get you punished. (See image below for reference)
• Broadcasting from an inappropriate World Name. Doing so will get the world NUKED! (See image below for reference)
• Broadcast to spam /msg other players.
• Using broadcast to encourage other players to hack gets you punished. (See image below for reference)

Tweaks

Sept 2nd, 2016: Increased price of all broadcasts by 1.5 during Systems Update.

Feb 14th, 2017: Doubled price of all broadcasts to help cut down on spam and because of inflation during Valentine's Week.

Other Broadcasting

A Megaphone works the same way as super-broadcasting except it is a consumable which can be traded.

A Party Screamer works the same way as a megaphone except what is said during the broadcast cannot be controlled.
