- The Geiger Counter enables you to find Radioactive Chemicals and Crystals. It costs 25,000 gems in the Growtopia Store.
- In game description: With this handy device, you can detect radiation. As you get closer to the source, the device will ping red, then yellow, then green for the closest. Stand still where you think the source is and you just might find it!
How to use
When equipped, this item will emit 3 different colored rings around your player, namely Red, Yellow & Green. Each color has a respective distance.
- No Rings - You are very far from the source of radioactivity.
- Red Ring - You are relatively far from the source of radioactivity.
- Yellow Ring - You are near to the source of radioactivity.
- Double Green Rings - You are very near to the source of radioactivity.
- Double Green Rings (Faster) - You are extremely close in range to the source of radioactivity. (Note! The "Faster Green Rings" and the "Double Faster Green Rings" were both removed from the game and replaced with just "Double Rings")
Possible Drops
Upon reaching the hidden source of radioactivity you will receive either one the following items:

New blocks has been added from the Block Party,thus the addition of getting the 4 colored stuffs from the Geiger Counter.
Effects
When the dead geiger is held, you will have an effect "Charging Geiger Counter"
After finding the source, you'll have an effect called "Irradiated." This means, you'll not be able to find any radioactivity for 30 minutes.
Note: If the Geiger Counter is used on Night of The Comet Event, the geiger will always emit Green rings but not green (faster), because the Comet's radiation is messing up the counter. If you manage to find one, you will get a Achievement, Atomic Luck.
Dead Geiger Counter
The Dead Geiger Counter is obtained by finding an item from the radioactivity(Note: You'll lose your Geiger Counter and receive the Dead Geiger Counter.)
In game description: This Geiger Counter is out of batter power. It will charge up from the static electricity you generate by moving around, so just hold it in your hand until it's charged. You'd think they would have added a wall plug too, but they didn't!
This item can't be spliced. This item never drops any seeds.
How to charge the Dead Geiger Counter
Despite the said information of it, 'you have to walk around to have it charge up.' (you don't need to walk around to have it charge though) this is still a MYTH after the Crystals(Event) was released.
How Geiger Counters are charged is simple.
Equip your Dead Geiger Counter and hold it for 31 minutes (1% every 20 seconds.) Even if you don't move, it'll charge up as long as its equipped. The owners of Geiger counter charging worlds are just wanting to get Growtokens (Don't get fooled with the 'Geiger Charging Worlds!')
Note- Removing the Dead Geiger Counter from your hand, it will AUTOMATICALLY reset it to 0%. If you log off without unequiping the Dead Geiger Counter, it will still be the same charge as you did before you logged off ( For example, if you log off at 50%, when you log back on, it will still be 50%, unlike removing the Dead Geiger Counter
