Star Tools are items used in Startopia to voyage through space. There are twelve different types of tools and any of them can fall from a Star Tool Tree or produced from a Star Tool Droid. 5 of each of the twelve Star Tools can also be bought from Galactic Goodies in the store for 15,000 Gems.

Function of the tools
| Tool | Use |

| Teleporter Charge | Used to beam the crew on and off the ship. |
| Tactical Drone | Used to scan around the ship to see if there are something unusual in the surroundings. |
| Quadriscanner | Used to help the crew get information and data in the surroundings. |
| HyperShields | Used to enhance defenses, mostly done when someone is attacking the ship. |
| Growton Torpedo | Used to blast enemy ships, beasts and other threads to the ship. Can only be used when the crew is inside the ship. |
| Gigablaster | Used to gun alien threats to the crew. Can only be used when the crew is outside the ship. |
| Galactibolt | Used to increase the ship's health when it's critically low. |
| Cyborg Diplomat | Used to communicate with beasts. |
| AI Brain | Used to check the success chance of completing the mission and hack into computer systems. |
| Space Meds | Used to increase the crew's health when it's critically low. |
| Star Supplies | Used to increase reputation when it's critically low. |

| Star Fuel | Used to add energy to the ship, when a mission fails - the emergency warp will remove star fuel depending on what sector the player is on; the higher the sector, the more star fuel to be used upon failing a mission. |
