The Item Of The Season (IOTS) was implemented into the game as part of the Grow Pass update on the 5th of October 2021.
Originally, the Item Of The Season was called the Item Of The Month where players can purchase a monthly-exclusive item for Gems.
The term was later changed to Item Of The Season featuring two versions of the item, the normal and royal versions. The normal variant of the Item Of The Season can be obtained by Royal Grow Pass users while accumulating 150 Grow Pass Points by completing quests and tasks or by accumulating 2,100 Grow Pass Points which will be available in the Growtopia Store for Gems on the following season. The royal variant of the Item Of The Season can exclusively be obtained by Royal Grow Pass users while accumulating 2,100 Grow Pass Points.
