Sand is one of the basic tier 1 blocks. It has Dirt's redesigned texture,although sand's seed texture is different than that of a dirt seed.
Obtaining
It will take 3 hits to destroy, even with the "Enhanced Digging" mode. It will drop seeds frequently, making it very farmable. It's also obtainable from the Summer Surprise.
Natural generation
Sand spawns naturally in Beach Blasted and Desert Blasted worlds.
Splicing
Sand can't be spliced nor crafted. But it's used as a splicing ingredient for following items:
- Lazy Cobra
- Cowboy Hat
- Wheat
- Western Building
