The main reason why people want to be one

Well, from my experience, I have seen many players in growtopia saying,"Ooh, I wanna be a moderator" or "Could I be a moderator?" But what they don't realize is that being a moderator is a lot of hard work. They are mainly busy with the problems in growtopia (drop games, etc.). Those players who want to be moderators for the power should be punished. They should realize that being a mod is hard work, and they get flooded with Private messages like, every two seconds, man. It's not as easy as it seems. For them, being a moderator is just standing in a Random world launching events and whatsoever. 

My own experience, well, my relative's experience

I know most of this because, I have a 8-year-old relative that plays this game, and I won't say his username for safety, he always complains that he wants to be rich and famous like a moderator. I tried explaining to him that being a mod is real hard work and they don't get a chance to relax when they're online. He also said he wanted to be a moderator because he would have more friends. I told him he could make friends in the game without having to be a moderator (he has like, what, 3 friends on the game, and he's been cursed once for drop gaming. He learned from that and he's doing much better now.
