Fish far away from people because others are trolling by putting water bucket that makes a splash so you will think you caught a fish. I got trolled so many times and I wasted 5 World Locks worth of bait. (I would recommend private fishing instead of public). Also they will swim in the water and bob up and down to make you think you have a fish. And they will stand right on the block you are standing on (also known as standing behind you) to get your fish when you caught it. REMEMBER TO HAVE A LOT OF BACKPACK SPACE BEFORE YOU FISH! PEOPLE WILL SCAM YOUR FISH (or loot) ONCE THEY GET IT AND YOU DON'T!!!
