July 26th,2016 news from Forums:Hamumu have announced that The Growtoken system will be change in September,as he said in forum:"Growtokens were a noble experiment that seems to have failed pretty badly. The intent was to get people making good worlds, since they knew they'd need to attract people to their world to earn the tokens. "
"They will no longer come from player visits"
Seems like Growtokens cannot be earned by how many players enter your world anymore
The Growtoken system will and shall be changed due to token worlds, worlds that makes the players believe that they will earn something from it, even with the tiniest bit of effort, you can make a token world. This is one of the main reasons why it is suitable and appropriate for the system change.
February 29th, 2016 news from Growtopia: When you get the in-app purchase "It's Rainin' Gems" (50,000 gems for $10.00 USD you get a Growtoken for free for supporting Growtopia.
Growtokens are a currency added on March 30, 2014. They can only be obtained when many players visit your world. This item cannot be dropped or traded, this meaning they cannot be traded to another player.
Growtokens can be used to purchase things in the Growtoken Store, or you may spend 50 to launch a Super Duper Broadcast via the /sdb command. (This command has been disabled temporarily due to bugs, making the server crash.)

One way to "farm" Growtokens is to build a parkour, game, mini game, or adventure map world. Do NOT bc/sb a drop game. It is illegal and you can be banned/cursed.
