The Vending Machine appeared on the sixth day of the 2015's Player Appreciation Week.
They allow you to sell items when you're offline by putting them in the machine and setting an amount per world lock allowing people to automatically buy items. It's a perma-item in the growtopia store for 8,000 gems. Sit back and relax in game while you make profits!
