The Rock Chisel is a splicable hand item which was added as part of the Growassic Park update.

The Rock Chisel is used to break any type of fossil rock in order to make it drop a Fossil once the rock has been extracted with a Rock Hammer. Punching such rock without wearing a Rock Chisel will result in the fossil being smashed, leaving the original respective version of the rock behind.
