The nyan cat hat was released on the 7th of march 2013 in a server update. It can only be bought from the store for 25k gems. It leaves a pretty rainbow trail behind you when you walk. It is currently the most expensive and most prestigious item of clothing. To wear this hat signifies wealth and general coolness.
