The Editing Guide should be a guide on how to edit the wiki, yes. It should go over general things like text formatting and such.
You can link pages without getting their URL by putting two sets of square brackets around the page name. [[Rubber Ducky]], for example, would yield Rubber Ducky. It is case sensitive, so [[rubber ducky]] would link to a completely different page. You can also change the text but still retain the link, [[Rubber Ducky|like so]].
