Spawning the Boss Ghost

The Boss Ghost is an NPC which was added as part of the B.O.O. update. To summon the boss, the player must complete the Dark Spirit Board's riddles.
How to Solve the Riddle
In order to solve the riddles, at least two players are required. When there is only one player, it will say:
You sense a presence in the room...
The planchette wobbles and then remains still...
Perhaps you need more people to help.
A second player is required who must stand within a 3 block radius of the board. When a second player joins, it will say:
You sense a presence in the room...
The planchette slowly comes to life and begins to drift across the board...
Ask your questions.
There will be two options which the player can pick:
What do you require of us?
How can we bring you here?
Upon clicking the "What do you require of us?" button, it will say:
I need a specific item to be worn to build up enough energy for me to come over.
Upon clicking on the "What item do we need?" button, the board will give four clues to what the item could be. It will provide the first letter of the item, the number of people which are required to wear the item, the rarity of the item and one of the seeds required to splice the item. If you click on the board repeatedly on "How is it made?" the Spirit Board, may provide another seed needed to splice the item.
When the riddle has been completed and the correct number of people are wearing the correct clothing, the second riddle can be completed. Upon clicking the "How can we bring you here?" button, a riddle will be given and all players must complete the correct command at the same time.

Ghost Day
A Boss Ghost can also be spawned randomly in a previously made world that hasn't been locked yet during the monthly Ghost Day, with a message saying "A Boss Ghost is haunting the abandoned plains of Growtopia!".
Guide to Defeat The Boss Ghost
- Firstly, players must equip the Neutron Set, which consists of the following items:
- Neutron Pack (back)
- Neutron Gun (hand)
- Paired with:
- either Spectral Goggles or Synthetic Oculum (face)
- → these allow players to see the ghosts when equipped.
- either Spectral Goggles or Synthetic Oculum (face)
- Then, the players should place at least 4 Containment Field Power Nodes in a rectangular formation, to cover up a large area.
- Ghost-In-A-Jars are required to power up these nodes. However, the nodes lose power after some time, players need a lot of them ready in their inventory (at least 40 is recommended).
- To activate the nodes, simply click them with a Ghost-In-A-Jar selected.
- After succesfully activating all of the Containment Field Power Node, punch the Boss Ghost to attract them to the covered area. (Neutron Set allows the player to attract any type of ghost to the their location).
- Then, constantly punch the Boss Ghost, to keep it in the covered area. It will take damage as long as it is trapped in the area.
- Reactivate any Containment Field Power Node as soon as any of them turns off.
Reward
Boss Goo ×(1) is the only reward of defeating the Boss Ghost.
(It is doubled if the player has consumed an EctoJuicer before defeating the Boss Ghost)
Useful Tips
- Ensure that Boss Ghost does not escape, it can eat and destroy any non-perma blocks, including the Containment Field Power Nodes.
- Having extra players with you against the Boss Ghost is also a huge advantage. Players can take turns of dealing damage to the Ghost and activating the nodes.
- Even a few punches are enough as a damage, and the player will receive a reward if they stay until the ghost is defeated.
- Building Checkpoints around the nodes can be very useful. Even though the Boss Ghost can not kill the players itself, the players can accidentally kill themselves if they Cross their beams. Crossing the beams occur when two players' Neutron Gun beams overlap.
- As mentioned before, activating Containment Field Power Node require Ghost-In-A-Jars, which release regular ghosts to the world. Thus, it is always advised for players to wear items with Ghost Immunity mod, such as Ghostking's Glory.

Trivia
- Defeating a Boss Ghost would grant the player the Bossed Ghost achievement.
- Defeating 10 Boss Ghosts would grant the player the Boss Ghosts: Toast achievement.
