Update History

Dungeons is a PVE feature in Growtopia that allows players to enter dungeons using Scrolls and fight different monsters, gain abilities, and fight a monster boss after clearing six rooms for Bronze and Silver League and seven rooms for Gold, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire League. It was first introduced in the Dungeons update on December 9, 2024. It also introduced a Scrolls Value Pack costing $2.99 containing 20 Scrolls.

On March 13th, 2025, Dungeons Leaderboard was introduced on the Growtopia Website. It features the top 20 players in every rank and refreshes every ~5 minutes.

On May 30th, 2025, Dungeons Update was released, which brought 3 new monsters to the dungeons arena: Axebeak, Terra-Shark, Wind Guardian, and a new boss Dual Axebeak.

On October 23rd, 2025, Dungeons was updated along with Halloween week, which brought 2 new traps, 5 new dungeon abilities, and one new boss Magic Crystal Ball

Entering Dungeons

Players can enter the dungeon by finding the dungeon button located in the upper-left of their screen. This opens up a window displaying details such as the player's current scroll count, the time remaining for a scroll to regenerate, league standings, and options to start a dungeon or invite friends to join.

Scrolls regenerates at a rate of one every 36 minutes, with the player able to hold up to 20. However, this limit can be exceeded by purchasing additional scrolls from the Growtopia Store.

To enter a dungeon, players need five scrolls, with a maximum of four players allowed per dungeon. Each player starts with three lives, and each life has 500 HP. If the player loses all three lives, they can either purchase another life for 2 scrolls or leave the dungeon.

League Standings

File:League Standings.png

There are six leagues with three stars on each league: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire. Players needs to complete dungeons to earn points, and the top 50% players will be promoted to the next league bracket.

After completing or failing a dungeon, a results window is displayed, showing their total score, rewards earned, and key statistics such as rooms cleared, damage dealt, souls collected, deaths, and buffs received.

To increase their league points, a player must score a minimum of 500 points in a dungeon run. League points gained are equal to the player's score, increasing in increments of 500, up to a maximum of 2,500 league points per run.

If the player fails a dungeon, the player loses 500 league points.

If the player completes a dungeon, the minimum league points a player can receive is zero. The point system if the player completes the dungeon are as follows:

Activity Points Obtained/Deducted
Rooms Cleared +100 league points for each room cleared.
Damage Dealt +5-6% league points of total damage dealt.
Souls Collected +20% league points of total souls collected.
Deaths -200 league points for each death.

Monsters

In each room, players will encounter monsters roaming around. To defeat them, players can punch the monsters to reduce their HP until they are eliminated. However, players’ attacks are obstructed by walls and will not pass through them, requiring them to be exposed to the monster to hit them. Each normal monster defeated from rooms one through five rewards the player with souls, which can be used to purchase abilities at the end of each room cleared.

The souls gained from defeating monsters and their hit points (HP) scales on how many players are in the lobby. The soul drops from monsters and their HP in the first stage of every dungeon starts with the base amount. However, from the second stage onward, the souls and HP are multiplied by how many players are in the lobby.
